In Chinese Medicine we stimulate the body points, using our hands in Tui Na and needles in Acupuncture. This stimulation helps the body to heal itself.
This ancient medicine has been around for over 5,000 years but most acknowledge that as long as people have been on this earth we have been using touch to heal.
In illness and pain, our body shows signs of being out of balance and Chinese Medicine, through using various therapies, aims to restore the natural balance of the body back to health.
Evidence based research is growing and is showing that Chinese Medicine safely treats a growing number of common and not so common illnesses.
In Chinese Medicine it is the individual I treat by taking a full case history, looking at your tongue and taking your pulse to establish the Chinese Medicine diagnosis. From this information I will devise a treatment for you using acupuncture, Tui Na, Moxibustion, auricular, electro-acupuncture or other possible therapies.
As a qualified acupuncturist and Tui Na practitioner I am licensed and insured. I use pre-sterilised needles and as a member of BAHMA , I adhere to the British Acupuncture and Holistic Medicine Association’s Code of Safe Practice.
